Tiny Tots

“.but is it Worship?"

In some churches they call it a Pram Service, in others it is Mid-Week Worship for Kids and Carers. In St. Mary’s its TINY TOTS.

Started in 1995 by Fr. Eric, with Nancy Sanders and Dorothy Rollings, Tiny Tots is still going (and going strong!) Now with Angela, Joy, Ruth, Barbara and Anna at the helm, yes we are a worship group. This is worship tailored for “under fives”, but aimed straight at God.

The service is so “laid back”, causal and jolly that we have been a bit modest about it----until now! It has become fashionable to talk about Alternative Worship, and here we’ve been doing it for years!

This is Church for Beginners, and each Wednesday at 2.00 p.m. you can find us creating merry heaven at the back of the church; anything from 12 to 22 youngsters who would otherwise not dare to venture into such a big and scary building or to discover that it is good to make a cheerful noise unto the Lord.

Each child comes with a Mum/Dad/Gran, who also may be hearing the Gospel stories for the first time, learning Thank You prayers, and shouting “Who loves Jesus?---I DO” “Who does Jesus Love?---ME"

Oh yes, It’s worship alright
