Parish Noticeboard | Welcome to all visitors at our Masses today. Tea/Coffee and Biscuits are served in the South Aisle of the Church after the 10.15 a.m. Sung Mass. The ‘All Sorts’ Service will be held at 9.15 a.m. in the Chantry Chapel for the next few months until the Bede House is back in use again after its refurbishment. Tell your friends about our ‘All Sorts’ Service.
Pray for Colin Simpson to be ordained Deacon on Sunday 6th July at Peterborough Cathedral. Colin was our Parish Placement Student last year and is to be Assistant Curate in The Astwell Group of Parishes [Helmdon with Stuchbury and Radstone and Syresham with Whitfield with Lois Weedon with Weston and Plumpton and Wappenham]. The Holy Dusters next meet in St Mary’s on Monday 7th July at 9.45 a.m. followed by Coffee at Beans. All help gratefully appreciated.
The Holiday Club 2008 this coming August is based on Wastewatchers which is all about recycling. We are in need of clear jam jars for the children to paint and recycle. If you are able to help us please contact either Lynne Pocock, Diane Behagg or Anne Cook.
Well Done to the people of Chelveston Parish Church who raised £577.11 at last week’s concert by the St Cecilia Singers.
Strawberry & Wine Evening: Come along to Chelveston Churchyard on Thursday 3rd July from 7.30 p.m. for a good summer’s evening with strawberries and wine (in the Church if wet!!). Tickets @ £4.00 each are now available from Anita Wright 624530 or Michael Foulger 622748.
Group 74: The July meeting is on Monday 7th when we shall be walking around the Summer Leys reserve (weather permitting) followed by a meal at Mary Harber's house. We will leave the Market Square at 6.30 p.m. For those who have not notified Jessica or Mary that they will be coming/want a meal, please contact Jessica 418653 as soon as possible. There will be no meeting in August.
| The Mothers’ Union: Coach Trip to Banbury this Thursday 3rd July. A few seats are still available. Cost £10.00. The coach will leave Rushden Skinners Hill at 9.45 a.m. and Higham Market Square at 10.00 a.m. Please be in good time. The Oberammergau Passion Play: Details of the proposed trip to Oberammergau in June 2010 are now available. Debbie Smith-Wilds will be in the Children’s Corner after Coffee today to give out information – places must be reserved by the end of July – or contact Debbie 356257.
The Bede House Project Work has commenced on the Bede House and organisations which normally use the Bede House have been encouraged to use the Chantry Chapel for their activities. We apologise for any inconvenience and are grateful for your understanding during these few months. The Organ Project The Organ Fund: We are delighted to say that the Organ Fund now stands at £46,100 thanks to a grant of £2,500 from All Souls' College and an anonymous donation of £5,000. There is still a long way to go, but this is most encouraging as we get nearer to the work in church beginning.
Ann's Sponsored Slim: Ann Knight is hoping to complete the collection of any outstanding sponsorship money by the end of June. The sponsored slim is completed - now it's about maintenance. Thanks to everyone who has been so helpful and supportive. Please let Ann have what you promised as soon as possible and gift aid your donation if you pay UK income tax.
Sponsored Walk: Fr Roger is organising a Sponsored Walk on Feast Sunday, 17th August. Please take an information sheet from the table and encourage friends and family to come on the walk with you.
